SPRING 2008 UPDATE – last summer Michel Auriou took the very painful decision to close his company which has been in operation since 1856.

A small group of investors have since bought production assets and have leased the factory with the aim of returning to limited production in the late summer of 2008. One of the first tasks will be to sharpen and handle over 2000 carving tools that have were already completed just before closure. These will be sold later in the year.

As at April 2008 Classic Hand Tools have their own limited stock – about 200 tools Please enquire by e-mail for availability before placing an order. We will confirm whether we have the item in stock and if we do not have it we will indicate the nearest alternative.
