Woodcarvers can purchase the additional reciprocating hand piece designed to take all the Flexcut SK range of tooling, this is particulary popular with woodcarvers who have restricted use of their hands (typically due to arthritis).
All machines take the Auriou rotary rasps, the burrs and the sanding sleeves featured below.

Flexxi-Classic Ref: SMM-FLEX-CLAS

The Flexxi-Classic is a high speed 450 watt rotary motor with electonic variable speed control up to 22000 rpm.

It has a high-performance flexible shaft, 9.5 mm in diameter, 1250 mm long.

This speed is variable and controlled with the foot pedal provided.

Alternatively you can use fixed speed settings with the manual selector switch housed within the pedal.

Both the Flexxi Tronic and the Flexxi Classic are supplied with a set of legs and hooks allowing you to either stand the unit on your workbench or to hang the unit.

Auriou Rotary Rasps Ref: G1300

A choice of 5 hand stitched Auriou rotary rasps.

The beauty of these rotary rasps is that they actually cut the wood without too much pressure. The teeth on the rasps are very sharp so they will do the work for you.

Optimum results are achieved with a rotary speed between 3000 and 9000 rpm (max speed 15000rpm).

All rasps have a 6 mm (1/4") shank, a 15 mm maximum diameter and a total length between 60 and 70 mm.

Use a natural fibre brush to clean (do not use wire or brass) and use camelia oil or simlar to protect the rasp when not in use for sometime.
