Narex Premium Range Bevel Edged Chisels Ref: 8116

We have had a enquiries for these Czech made chisels from our customer base and after a trial order the reaction has been favourable especially with regards to the pricing.

The new 8116 range Czech made NAREX cabinetmakers chisels have an improved x-section from previous designs. The sides are ground thin to minimise friction when cutting which is very useful for dovetailing

The improved handles are stained hornbeam with brass plated ferrules. The blades are made from Chrome manganese alloy at 59 Rockwell.

Hornbeam is dense and perfectly suited to hitting with a mallet. Individual chisels are supplied with plastic edge protectors which double as hangers.

Like most edge tools, they'll need sharpening before use. The set of 6 comes in a presentation case. Sizes include 6mm (~1/4"), 10mm (~3/8"), 12mm (~1/2"), 16mm (~5/8"), 20mm (~3/4") & 26mm (~1") sizes. Inch equivalents are approximate.

The set of 4 comprises 6mm (~1/4"), 12mm (~1/2"), 20mm (~3/4") & 26mm (~1") sizes and is presented in a cardboard sleeve.

The chisels are also available individually.

Narex Corner Chisel 10mm Ref: 813410

Designed for squaring up the ends of mortises, grooves or housings. The faces are precision ground to produce clean, accurate 90 degree angles. Often used nowadays to clean up after a router. Sharpen each face individually with an oil stone. Hornbeam handle.

Robust mortice chisels for chopping out joints and cutting mortices. Sides taper in height and length from tip to shoulder for sidewall clearance. Bulky handle made from hornbeam which is strong enough to withstand heavy blows with a mallet. Edge guard supplied.
